Construction advances for new light industrial warehouse in Lake County

LAKELAND, FL (November 4, 2024) - Downtown Engineering, is excited to announce significant progress on the construction of a light industrial warehouse at the Seneca Commerce Park in Groveland. This project marks the first phase of a planned expansion, with an additional warehouse set to follow in the next two years.

As the lead consultant for the design and permitting of this project, Downtown Engineering is proud to collaborate with GP Construction, the general contractor responsible for the project's execution. To date, GP Construction has successfully completed essential milestones, including earthwork, the construction of the building foundation, pad, and frame, as well as the installation of temporary stormwater measures.

This new facility is poised to enhance the local economy by providing much-needed industrial space and job opportunities. The project encompasses not only the warehouse but also a parking lot and ancillary features designed to support the operational needs of future tenants.

Construction is progressing on schedule, with an estimated completion date set for early 2025. The team at Downtown Engineering is thrilled to see this project come to life.
